BRIDGETOWN: England beat Pakistan by six wickets in the opening Super Eights match of the World Twenty20.

England's bowlers produced a spirited display against a typically erratic Pakistan batting line-up. Kevin Pietersen's unbeaten 70 led England past defending champions Pakistan by six wickets at Kensington Oval on Thursday.

Pietersen hit the winning run with three balls to spare. His 52-ball innings included seven boundaries and two sixes.

In chasing down Pakistan's 147 for 9 England posted 148 for the loss of 4 wickets.

Imran Khan | 14 years ago | Reply what's the criteria for selection? I can't understand the selection of Fawad alam by any means & why imran nazir is out? Also why Sami is out for M. Asif instead of Fawad alam?
ishaq | 14 years ago | Reply we are seeing More than 3 drop catches, lots of mis fielding and irresponsible shots in every match what result can we expect other than this?
