Fleecing the public: Over 130 shopkeepers fined

Captain (retd) Abdul Sattar Isani have actively taken action against the profiteers for overcharging

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Capital Territory Administration (ICTA) on Tuesday imposed a total fines of Rs256,500 on 139 shopkeepers and food outlets in the ongoing campaign against over-pricing. An ICTA spokesperson said that a total of 312 outlets were inspected across the ICT on Tuesday. Since 1st Ramazan, 3,689 profiteers have been fined a total of Rs6,856,100, in continuation of the efforts made by the ICT Administration regarding actions taken against profiteers and persons involved in adulteration. The officers of the ICT Administration including special price magistrates under the supervision of Captain (retd) Abdul Sattar Isani have actively taken action against the profiteers for overcharging.
