This was stated by National Savings Director General Waqar Ahmed in a meeting held at the Ombudsman Secretariat to review the implementation of recommendations, made by the committee constituted recently by Federal Ombudsman M Salman Faruqui, to study and identify systemic issues for providing improved services to the common man.

The meeting was chaired former secretary finance Abdul Wajid Rana who is the head of the committee on CDNS. The members were informed that they were working actively for the restructuring of the organisation to bring it in line with the recommendations of the Ombudsman committee.
Last week, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said the Overseas Pakistanis’ Commission, Punjab is taking steps to safeguard the interests of Pakistanis living abroad.

“No one will be allowed to usurp the rights of Pakistanis living abroad or grab their properties. There is a need for collective efforts to ensure the rights of overseas Pakistanis and to resolve their problems. Problems of Pakistanis living abroad will be resolved on a priority basis. They will be provided political, legal and moral help,” he said.
