
As per the document, Pesco Chief Executive Anwarul Haq Yousafzai said an operation was started against those who had defaulted on the payment of their bills.
“The outstanding dues for government offices in Timergara exceeded Rs10 million,” the handout stated. “Meanwhile, in Chakdara, the outstanding dues amounted up to Rs5 million.”
Speaking to The Express Tribune, PESCO Spokesperson Shaukat Afzal said other areas where power supply was disconnected include Talash and Samar Bagh. According to the spokesperson, government offices in Talash had outstanding dues of Rs8 million while the later had to pay over Rs8.8 million.
Afzal said various connections to water supply schemes of the public health engineering department were also disconnected in different parts of the province. Yousafzai added the connection will not be restored until the bills are paid.
He asked the electricity consumers to pay their bills as soon as possible to avoid inconvenience.
