Pesco warned the defaulters to deposit their outstanding dues

PESHAWAR: The recovery team of Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (PESCO)  disconnected on Monday power supply to Daudzai steel mills of Swabi over non-payment of millions of outstanding dues.

A handout issued by Pesco stated that on the directives of PESCO Chief Executive Anwarul Haq Yousafzai, drive against illegal use of electricity and recovery of dues has been geared up throughout the province.

PESCO Spokesperson Shaukat Afzal was quoted as saying, on implementing the directives  of the chief executive, executive engineer of Swabi-2 division team disconnected power supply to Daudzai steel mills owing to nonpayment of over  Rs10 million of electricity bills.

Afzal said power supply has also been disconnected to Khyber Textile Mills Swabi who defaulted on Rs8 million, as they did not pay their bills. Pesco warned the defaulters to deposit their outstanding dues immediately otherwise their power supply will be disconnected without any further notice.
