Overpricing: Over 100 shopkeepers fined  

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Capital Territory Administration (ICTA) teams on Sunday conducted inspections of 264 food outlets and shops to ensure implementation of official rate lists and hygiene regulations.

An ICTA spokesperson said that out of the 264 outlets inspected, the teams imposed fines of Rs204,100 on 118 for overpricing and selling substandard food items.

Since 1st of Ramazan, 3,434 persons have been fined Rs6,483,000.

Officers of the ICT Administration including assistant commissioners, MICs and special price magistrates under the supervision of the ADC(G) Capt (retd) Abdul Sattar Isani are actively taking actions against profiteers.
