LEAs conduct search operation in Swat

It was a routine search operation, says ISPR

MINGORA: A search operation was conducted in Khwar Pattay area of Teligram, Swat late Saturday night.

Security forces exchanged fire with terrorists after which a security official died while a civilian got injured, locals said.

Three terrorists were also killed in the clash.

The security forces cordoned the area and began a search operation in the nearby mountains, where the terrorists were reportedly hiding.

However, a statement from the Inter Services Public Relations said it was a routine search operation. The statement did not confirm the clash with militants.
