Fire engulfs residential building in Karachi

Initially, three fire tenders have been dispatched to the site to tackle the blaze

A huge blaze engulfed a nine-storey residential building in the Clifton area of Karachi Saturday night, Express News reported.

As the fire broke out, residents rushed to the rooftop and yelled out for help.

The fire erupted on the fourth floor of the nine-storey building and quickly spread to other adjoining floors.

Initially, three fire tenders were dispatched to the site to control the blaze.

Most of the residents managed to escape, but some are said to be trapped in the building.

A rescue operation is underway. However, no casualties have been reported so far.
