Swat Expressway: Construction to commence soon

Swat Expressway would be completed at the cost of Rs28 billion and Rs300 million

Advisor to Chief Minister for Livestock Muhebullah Khan on Saturday said that construction work on Swat Express Way costing Rs28 billion will commence soon. He said this while talking to a delegation from Swat, he added that the 81 kilometer long Expressway would be completed at the cost of Rs28 billion and Rs300 million and will be completed under two phases in three years. He said that the project will prove to be a milestone of this province. “The Expressway will save two hours of travel time from Karnal Sher inter-change to Chakdara by-passing Rashkai, Mardan Takhtbhai, Jalala, Sherghar Sakhakot, Dargai and ButKhella but will cross from Nowshera, Swabi, Mardan and Malakand districts.” Additionally, movement of agricultural products to the market will also become easier and local industries will be promoted.
