This was said by Adviser to Chief Minister on Livestock Mohibullah Khan and mentioned in a handout issued on Saturday. He was speaking to a delegation from Swat.
“The 81-kilometre-long expressway will be completed in three years at a cost of Rs28.3 billion,” the document quoted Mohibullah as saying. “The project will save two hours of travel time from Colonel Sher Khan Interchange to Chakdara.”
It added, “The route will bypass Rashakai, Takht Bhai, Jalala, Sakhakot, Shergarh, Dargai and Batkhela and cross from Nowshera, Swabi, Mardan and Malakand districts.” According to the handout, Asian Development Bank, Korea, Japan and foreign financial institutions have shown interest in the project under public-private partnership.
