Bullet-riddled bodies found in Kech

Security forces also destroyed five militant hideouts during a search operation in Dera Bugti on Friday

QUETTA: At least three bullet riddled bodies were found in Kech district on Friday, as two militant commanders surrendered to security forces elsewhere in Balochistan.

According to Balochistan Levies, a passerby spotted the bodies in Balnagwar area of Kech district and informed them. They said Levies personnel rushed to the spot soon after and moved the bodies to Turbat District Headquarters Hospital for identification.

The deceased were identified as Dasht residents Anyatullah, Aslam Midan and Abdul Waheed. According to locals, all three used to be active members of a militant group and had recently surrendered to authorities.

Meanwhile, two militant commanders, hailing from the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and the Baloch Republican Army (BRA), surrendered to security forces in Kohlu and Gwadar on Friday.

According to security officials, BLA commander Ganhoor Khan laid down arms along with five members of the group in Kohlu.

Separately in Gwadar, BRA commander Sakhirdar alias Toofan and two of his fighters surrendered to the city’s Frontier Corps commandant.

Security forces also destroyed five militant hideouts during a search operation in Dera Bugti on Friday.
