5.1-magnitude quake shakes parts of K-P

Tremors were felt in Peshawar and Chitral among other areas but no immediate damage reported

A 5.1-magnitude earthquake struck parts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday, slightly shaking towns, but no immediate damage was reported.

Tremors were felt in Peshawar and Chitral among other areas, while the quake's epicenter was Hindu Kush Region, having a focal depth of 202km, according to the Pakistan Metrological Department.



Tremors were felt precisely at 16:35:40 Pakistan Standard Time (PST).

Earlier on April 11, at least six people were killed when a powerful earthquake rocked parts of Pakistan on Sunday.
