British premier 'delighted' on footballer's decision to back the campaign to remain in EU

Days ahead of the Brexit referendum, former England captain David Beckham on Tuesday revealed he will support that Britain remains in the European Union.

The 41-year-old shared a photo of himself with former France footballer Eric Cantona during their time together at Manchester United in an Instagram post.

While Beckham in his post said that Britain will always be "great" no matter what the result of Thursday’s referendum is, he chose to give his view on the Brexit debate.

Soon after the former England star’s post, British Prime Minister David Cameron said he was "delighted" that a sportsman like David Beckham has backed the campaign to remain.
