Overpricing: Over 140 shopkeepers fined  

All the inspections were made on a random basis as well as on the complaints received from the residents

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Capital Territory Administration (ICTA) teams on Sunday inspected 336 shops, out of which 148 were fined a total amount of Rs293,100. Since 1st of Ramazan, 2,475 profiteers have been fined a total amount of Rs4,716,300 in Islamabad. Over 20 officers of the ICT Administration including ACs, MICs and special price magistrates are regularly carrying out inspections in their assigned areas/markets all over the federal capital. Moreover, the rates and quality of all essential items including meat, chicken, dairy products, pulses, rice, flour etc have been enforced and regulated. All the inspections were made on a random basis as well as on the complaints received from the residents of the capital.
