Carelessness: Teenager dies of electrocution

The workshop owner added that they took Azhar to the hospital but he did not survive

KARACHI:  

Fifteen-year-old Muhammad Azhar, who worked at an auto workshop in Korangi, died when an electric cable fell on him on Saturday. According to workshop owner Muhammad Farhan, Azhar was working outside the shop in the afternoon when a high-voltage cable of K-Electric (KE) fell on the boy. The workshop owner added that they took Azhar to the hospital but he did not survive. The KE's chief marketing and communication officer, Fakhar Ahmed, said that the company is saddened over the teenager's death, adding that he is not in the position to comment on the incident. Ahmed said that KE teams were at the site where the incident took place and investigating the reasons of the incident.
