Police Encounter: Hashish worth Rs27m recovered
Two of the suspects are absconders in a case of a similar raid in Sehwan town
HYDERABAD:
Jamshoro distric police claimed to have recovered hashish worth Rs27 million in a police encounter on the Indus Highway at the Akro toll plaza. Jamshoro SSP Capt (retd) Tariq Wilayat said three suspected smugglers, identified as Turan Khan, Khurram Shahzad and Taimoor Khan, have been arrested and two vehicles and three pistols were seized from their possession. He added that two of the suspects are absconders in a case of a similar raid in Sehwan town, during which 200 kilogrammes of hashish were recovered but the suspects had escaped.
