Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is not happy with left-arm pacer Muhammad Amir, after he appeared on a television show prior to the national team’s departure for England, Press Trust of India reported on Thursday.

According to a source in PCB, the board has taken the matter seriously since Amir failed to inform them prior to appearing on the show.

“This has happened just few days after top board officials, including chairman Shaharyar Khan and Najam Sethi, met with Amir in Lahore and briefed him on what was expected of him in England,” the source said.

“He was also told to improve his attitude and not antagonise his teammates,” the source added.

The source added that the board has asked the left-arm pacer for an explanation regarding the incident.

Earlier, the PCB had worked out a plan for the 24-year-old limiting his media appearances ahead and during the tour of England.

Now, chairman Shaharyar Khan is expected to speak to the left-armer about the matter prior to the team’s departure for London this weekend.
