Marvi Sirmed asks police to book JUI-F senator
On Tuesday, police booked the senator under sections 506 (criminal intimidation) and 354 (assault or criminal force to a woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of the Pakistan Penal Code.
Inspector Iftikhar Chattha, investigation officer in the case, said the FIR had been lodged. Asked whether police would arrest the senator, Chattha said police could book a lawmaker, but needed permission of the National Assembly speaker or the Senate chairman, as the case maybe, to arrest one.
