On Wednesday, Asif ridiculed Mazari for her appearance and voice, referring to her as a ‘tractor trolley’.

Dr Mazari, while speaking to The Express Tribune on Sunday said that she was preparing her petition. She further stated that her lawyer Barrister Shoaib was also looking into filing a defamation suit against the minister. “We will use all legal avenues,” she added.

Irfan Qadir, former auditor general, commented that it was a first impression and such a case proceeding from the parliament had never come to the Supreme Court before. He said that the case would be a test for the Supreme Court. Given that Dr Mazari is a career politician who goes to the National Assembly as one of her workplaces, the legality for harassment at the workplace holds for her, Qadir said.
