Natural calamity: Earthquake jolts parts of K-P

PDMA Spokesperson Latifur Rehman claimed no loss of life or property was reported

PESHAWAR: An earthquake measuring 5 on the Richter scale jolted different parts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday. An official of the meteorological department said tremors were felt in Peshawar, Chitral, Mingora, Ghazar, Shangla, Upper Dir and Lower Dir at about 2:54am. He added the epicentre of the earthquake was 85 kilometres deep at the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border. However, PDMA Spokesperson Latifur Rehman claimed no loss of life or property was reported from anywhere in the province.
