LAHORE:

An additional district and sessions’ judge has sought comments from the Islampura SHO in a petition filed by a woman seeking action against her two daughters and their husbands for allegedly fraudulently transferring her property in their names. Petitioner Shamim Bano submitted that her daughters, identified as Tabasam and Mubashira, and their husbands, Usman and Umar, respectively, had taken advantage of her weak eyesight and made her sign property transfer papers. She said she was told that the papers she was signing were needed to apply for a gas meter from the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNPL). She said that because of her week eyesight she could not read the papers before putting her signatures on them.  She requested the court to direct the SHO to register an FIR and investigation of the matter.
