Skilled manpower: 2 million youths to be trained, says minister

He said the initiative was part of Punjab Growth Strategy 2018

Labour and Human Resource Minister Raja Ashfaq Sarwar said on Thursday the government would acquire the services of Mckinsey & Company, an advocacy firm, with regard to training, accreditation and employment of 2 million youngsters across the province. He said the initiative was part of Punjab Growth Strategy 2018. He said more than 15 construction and trade companies had expressed willingness to employ graduates from the Punjab for their projects in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Mckinsey & Company Associate Principal Taimur Khan and Punjab Skills Development Fund CEO Ali Akbar Bosan attended the meeting.
