KARACHI: Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah approved a summary granting Rs100 million as reward to the personnel of law enforcement agencies and police during a meeting with Sindh IG at the CM House on Thursday.

Sindh IG AD Khawaja had sent him the summary when the CM asked him to determine the amounts that should be given to agencies and police personnel. The IGP said that 70 per cent of the total amount of Rs100 million will go to the agencies while 30 per cent will go to the policemen. The chief minister approved the summary.

According to Shah, some elements with vested interests want to create law and order situation in the city but he would not let the sacrifices of law enforcement agencies personnel go in vain. He added that some people are again trying to give strike calls and stage sit-ins just to show their power and they should not be allowed to take the law in their hands.
