A lawsuit has been filed against Beyonce Knowles-Carter for lifting a short film to create the trailer of her visual album Lemonade.

Mathew Fulks, an independent filmmaker, has claimed that the trailer was copied from a short film titled Palinoia without permission, reports Hollywood Reporter.

He says that a member of Beyonce's team has acknowledged seeing his work.

Specifically, the complaint cites nine visual similarities comprising 39 seconds of a 60-second trailer.

The lawsuit also claims similarities in auditory time.

Fulks is seeking all the profits attributed to the exploitation of his work including sales of the Lemonade album.
