Salaries delayed: LG employees demand payment
The letter added that Sindh AG may make arrangements for salaries to the officers posted in local councils
LARKANA:
Local government employees have been agitating for a long time for the payment of their monthly salaries through the treasury or district accounts office. A letter has been sent to the Sindh accountant-general by additional finance secretary Athar Hussain Mirani. He has been requested to pay salaries to the protesting LG employees. However, the letter only mentions the employees of the local councils of Sindh. The letter added that Sindh AG may make arrangements for salaries to the officers posted in local councils as is being done in the case of other government departments.
