DARRA ADAM KHEL: In a bid to ensure the provision of edibles at reasonable prices to consumers during Ramazan, the political administration has established cheap price shops in the narrow tribal strip of Darra Adam Khel.

Assistant Political Agent Dr Qasam Ali Khan inaugurated the Tohfa-e-Ramazan shop in main market of the area, a press release issued by his office stated. The inauguration ceremony was attended by a large number of tribespeople.

While speaking on the occasion, Qasam Ali said prices of edibles and other commodities will be less those in the local market.

He added the purpose of establishing such a shop was to ensure provision of maximum relief to consumers during Ramazan.

He urged tribespeople to help in making this initiative a success. It focuses on extending maximum facilities to the tribal people.

The APA pointed out that a special complaint cell had been established to ensure the sale of edibles at fixed rates and to keep a strict check over shopkeepers during Ramazan.
