Fiscal plan: Budget is pro-people, says minister

LAHORE: Agriculture Minister Farrukh Javed on Sunday praised the federal government for presenting a “pro-people and pro-farmers” budget.

He said the government had announced a cut in the prices of fertiliser, electricity for tube wells, and pesticides. He said the government had provided great support to the agriculture sector. He said provision of interest-free loans to farmers would help strengthen rural economy.

“People will soon start benefitting from fruits of a balanced budget,” he said.
