Neighbours hand over ‘drug dealer’ to police

BAHAWALPUR: Residents of Kareem Colony caught a man they called drug dealer and handed him over to Cantt police on Saturday.

Zafar Hussain, Imran Ahmad, Amjad Butt, Muhammad Iqbal and Aamir Khan, residents of Kareem Colony, told newsmen that Nadir Shah and his mother had been supplying drugs in the area for several years. “We asked them many times to stop but they us paid no heed,” they said. They said on Friday, Shah got drunk and had an argument with residents of the neighbourhood. They said when he started abusing them and gesturing aggressively, police were called to intervene. Sub Inspector Muhammad Nawaz arrested Shah and locked him behind bars.
