SUKKUR: A 15-year-old girl died and her uncle was injured after they fell from Karachi-bound Khyber Mail train near Lashkari railway crossing, located within Dubbar police limits, around 12 kilometres away from Sukkur.

Accident: Five train carriages run off tracks

Ghulam Abbas, 26, and his niece, Bisma, were going to Karachi from Multan in Khyber Mail. Talking to the media at the hospital, Abbas said there were too many people in the train, due to which he was sitting near the door and his niece was sleeping next to him. He added that the incident took place when he lost balance and, in an attempt to save himself from falling, he grabbed his niece's feet. As a result, both of them fell from the train. The police shifted the body and the injured to taluka hospital in Rohri. Abbas, who is a resident of Bakra Piri Lyari in Karachi, had gone to Multan along with his niece to see his relatives. After the completion of medico-legal formalties, the body was handed over to him but no case was registered.
