Rangers’ raids : Over half-a-dozen suspects held  

The raids were conducted in Malir, New Karachi and SITE area

KARACHI: The Rangers claimed to have arrested over half-a-dozen suspected criminals during separate operations in the metropolis on Wednesday. According to a Rangers spokesperson, the paramilitary force conducted targeted raids against alleged target killers, their facilitators and extortionists across the city. During the operations, four suspected target killers, affiliated with the militant wing of a political party, were taken into custody. The raids were conducted in Malir, New Karachi and SITE area, while two pistols and a revolver were also recovered from them. Separately, three more suspects were taken into custody by the Rangers. The official said three alleged criminals were arrested during separate raids in Gadap, Bin Qasim, Landhi and North Nazimabad. Weapons and ammunition was recovered from their possession, said the Rangers spokesperson.
