Petitioner of Mayo Hospital said his marriage had hit the rocks ever since his wife refused to have another child

An additional district and sessions judge on Wednesday sought comments from the Faisal Town SHO in connection with a petition against a woman by her husband. Petitioner Mehmoodul Haq Farooqi of Mayo Hospital said his marriage had hit the rocks ever since his wife refused to have another child. Farooqi said while he had a burning desire to sire a son, his wife wanted to stop at two daughters. He said his wife had recently undergone a hysterectomy without his consent.  By doing this, he said, she had deprived him of his right to have a son. He said she had threatened him after he aired his reservations regarding what transpired.  He requested the court to direct the pertinent SHO to register an FIR.
