Army chief witnesses multinational military exercise EFES in Turkey
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met army chief General Raheel Sharif on Tuesday, and praised contributions to regional peace and stability.
According to the ISPR, General Raheel, who is on an official visit in Turkey, witnessed multinational military exercise EFES.
During the exercise, Pakistan’s armed forces participated alongside forces of Turkey, the US, UK, Belgium, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Azerbaijan, the statement added.

President Erdogan praised Pakistan Army’s accomplishments in Operation Zarb-e-Azb and its contributions to regional peace and stability.
The president thanked army chief for Pakistan’s participation and his personal presence to witness the exercise, saying it will enhance the existing close, friendly ties.
Reciprocating, General Raheel appreciated Turkish forces for an outstanding conduct of the exercise of such magnitude and scope.

Exercise EFES was aimed at sharing military experience and enhancing training exchanges of Pakistan Army in the last three years, with the forces conducting 52 exercises inland and abroad.
