T20 match: MPAs overcome Punjab lawmakers

Former provincial minister Ali Amin Gandapur scored a half century off just 17 balls

ABBOTTABAD: Parliamentarians from K-P and Punjab tested their cricketing skills in a T-20 match at the PCB Academy in Abbottabad on Sunday. The K-P team won the match by a convincing 50 runs. The winning side was led by former provincial minister Shaukat Yousufzai. Punjab put the K-P team into bat after winning the toss. MPAs from the north scored 197 in their 20 overs. Former provincial minister Ali Amin Gandapur scored a half century off just 17 balls.

From Punjab, Waqas took four wickets and gave 36 runs, while Adnan top-scored with 90 runs. However, Punjab could only manage to make 147 runs from 17.2 overs.

Shah Farman took three wickets and gave just nine for K-P, while Gandapur also contributed with the ball and bagged two wickets for 16 runs. He also took two catches and was declared the man of the match.
