Shoaib Akhtar shares 'dream team' with Twitter fans

Former Pakistan quickie Shoaib Akhtar might have hanged his boots but he still misses the on-field action.

The 40-year-old on Friday posted a picture of his dream team on Twitter reminiscing his playing days with them.

The picture includes (from left, first row) right-hand batsman Ijaz Ahmed, right-arm fast-bowler Waqar Younus, left-arm quickie Wasim Akram, wicketkeeper Moin Khan, right-arm leggie Mushtaq Ahmed, left-hand opener Saeed Anwar, right-hand middle-order batsman Inzamaul Haq.

Akhtar believes the team was “full of talent and character” and called it “1 of the best Pak team I ever played with”.

Virendar Sehwag this time did not come to comment on the memory shared by Akhtar but a fan account with the same name as the Indian opener did comment that this team was “still not good enough to win against India”.

However, a couple of Akhtar supporters did come to spoil the show for the Indian fan.

Meanwhile, some fans backed Shoaib’s opinion.
