Visiting the provincial capital just days after Afghan Taliban chief was killed by US in a drone strike, the army chief emphasised Pakistan's resolve and determination to confront the global phenomenon of terrorism and extremism.

“No military in the world is able to synergise as much as Pakistan Army can single-handedly. Rightly proud of commanding a dynamic and resolute force,” he said, according to the statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Talking about the effects of Operation Zarb-e-Azb, he explained how the security forces had transitioned from hard-core kinetic operations to intelligence-based and combing operations. Referring to the conclusion of the operations, the army chief pointed out that “we are not there yet.”

“More work needs to be done to achieve the final objective of a fully peaceful and prosperous Pakistan.”
