Property dispute : Man shot to death

RAWALPINDI: A man was shot dead and his nephew wounded reportedly over a property dispute in Dhoke Chiragh Din in limits of Civil Lines Police Station on Tuesday.

According to available information, Nazim son of Khadim shot dead 38-year-old Babar over a property dispute.

During the firing a bullet also hit 10-year-old Faizan, Babar’s nephew.

ASI Tanveer, leading preliminary investigations, said that the murder incident took place in Mohalla Qaziabad in Dhoke Chiragh Din at about 530 pm.

He said that the accused killer Nazim was said to be maternal cousin of Babar.

He noted that according to initial information both cousins had scuffled with each other over  property issue on the night of May 22.

He said that Nazim along with two other men attacked  Babar and allegedly shot him dead.

Regarding the injured boy, the ASI said that  the boy had received bullet wound on his side ribs and he was said to be out of danger.

He said that Babar’s family had so far made no written complaint to the police.
