According to Express News, in a three-hour-long session with Zardari on Tuesday, the JUI-F chief tried to persuade the former president not to become a part of the united opposition but play the role of a 'friendly opposition'.

On Monday, the prime minister had nominated six members from the treasury benches for a 12-member committee, which will include an equal number of opposition members to draft joint terms of reference (TORs) for an inquiry commission, which would investigate Panama Papers revelations.
Thousands of documents leaked from the Panamanian law firm Mossack Fonseca had revealed that the world’s wealthy and powerful, including three scions of Nawaz among 220 Pakistanis, had secreted their wealth in offshore holdings in international tax havens.
PM Nawaz visits Gilani House to garner support on Panama leaks
Last week, the prime minister visited former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani in an apparent bid to garner support on Panama leaks.
The development comes weeks after both PM Nawaz and Zardari came in close proximity in London and reports of their meeting surfaced in the national media. However, the PPP leadership denied any chance of a meeting between the two.
