DERA GHAZI KHAN: Three men are accused of snipping off the tongue of a man who had apparently had a romantic relationship with a woman from Rahim Yar Khan. Police said on Monday that three men had accosted Sarfaraz Sultan in Haideria Colony in a suburb of Jampur, Rajanpur. Sultan’s brother Ghulam Hussain told journalists that the three men had beaten him up and cut a piece of his tongue with a knife. He said the men had accused his brother of having a romantic relationship with one of their relatives, a woman from Rahim Yar Khan. Police said Sultan had been taken to the Dera Ghazi Khan teaching hospital’s trauma centre. Doctors there later said his condition was stable.
