KARACHI: Faisal Shahzad’s arrest by the American authorities is bad news for all of us. And it is about time that we faced the bitter reality and accepted that we are a breeding ground for terrorists who then go to other countries and carry out attacks. Our madressahs graduate thousands of ‘students’ every year and most of them have been indoctrinated to become suicide bombers or jihadis.
It is only after accepting this reality that we can move forward to think of a way to eliminate this disease from our nation. Or we should get used to the rest of the world seeing us as nothing more than terrorists.
