The counter-terrorism department (CTD) arrested a militant commander from Matta tehsil in Swat on Friday. A CTD official told The Express Tribune the arrest was made during a raid. “We received information about the presence of a militant commander at a house in Matta,” he said. “After we received the intelligence tip-off, we raided the house.” According to the official, the militant commander was taken into custody. “He has been identified as Gul Rehman,” he said. “We have shifted him to undisclosed location and started investigation.” As per the official, the militant commander was involved in various incidents of militancy in Swat district.
