Raid: Five alleged human traffickers held

The accused have been shifted to the anti-human trafficking cell for further investigation

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested five alleged human smugglers during a raid at a travel agency in the Rahmanabad area in Rawalpindi on Friday. The FIA also claimed to have recovered seven forged passports, fake visas, stamps and other documents from the suspects’ possession. According to the FIA, the alleged human smugglers were cheating and defrauding gullible people in the garb of sending them abroad for work. The suspects would charge millions of rupees from their potential customers before handing them over bogus travel documents. The accused have been shifted to the anti-human trafficking cell for further investigation.
