ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police on Friday said that crime rate in the capital city dropped by 30 per cent during first four months of the year as compared to the same period last year. In a press release, a police spokesperson said that no kidnapping for ransom case has far been registered in the ongoing year. He said that murder incidents have decreased by 24 per cent, robbery by 56 per cent, snatching by 31 per cent and burglary incidents by seven per cent this year.

Similarly, the police said that car and motorcycle theft incidents have dropped by 44 and 61 per cent respectively. “Overall, 30 per cent decline in crime rate has been witnessed during the first four months of 2016 as compared to the corresponding period of 2015,” said the press release.
