In response to an article titled “New Islamabad Airport: The airport to nowhere” published in The Express Tribune on May 16, the Meinhardt group has said the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) had never delegated the job of evaluation of contractors to the group and it was generally the responsibility of the CAA. The group said it had applied for the project under the specified proposal conditions, but it was not made part of it in any way. According to the group, it is a globally reputable firm with 42 global offices including Pakistan and has never been associated with the New Islamabad International Airport.
