Chairman National Assembly Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari has said that Pakistan and China have greatly expanded economic dimension of their relationship. He said that the political leadership-level interaction had increased between China and Pakistan which would further deepen the relationship between the two countries. Awais Leghari said that, as strategic partners, Pakistan and China had always enjoyed excellent cooperation across a diverse range of areas, adding that politics should be avoided on CPEC. He said the public-friendly projects under the CPEC needed to be completed, keeping in mind the national development and prosperity. The chairman said both the countries were cooperating on a number of people-centric projects. The highlight of these projects, of course, was CPEC, which ‘we regard as a game changer for our countries as well as the region at large,’ he added.
