Six tourists injured in Chitral

Van was en route to Peshawar from Chitral when the driver lost control of the vehicle which fell into a ravine

CHITRAL: Six tourists were wounded when a passenger van plunged into a ravine near Lowari Tunnel Monday morning. Eyewitnesses reported that the van was en route to Peshawar from Chitral when the driver lost control of the vehicle which fell into a ravine in Ziarat area near Lowari Tunnel. As a result, six passengers were wounded. They were rushed to tehsil headquarters hospital where their condition was stated to be stable. The passengers belonged to Chitral and Peshawar. Police registered an FIR and started investigation. Majority of accidents take place near deadly Lowari Tunnel as there are several unpaved roads located in a mountainous terrain.
