PESHAWAR: Poverty levels from all corners of the country will be taken into account in a new Benazir Income Support Programme survey.

This was said by BISP Chairperson Marvi Memon and mentioned in a handout issued on Monday. She said this during her visit to BISP’s office in Mujahid Town, Lakki Marwat. The BISP chairperson also visited Frontier Region Lakki Marwat and Sar Garhai Muhammad Khan village.

According to Memon, there would be no limiting factors or political interference in updating the National Socio Economic Registry (NSER).

“The security situation has improved since the federal government came into power,” the handout quoted the BISP chairperson as saying. “The improvement will help BISP work for the welfare of the underprivileged.”  As per the document, the previous survey was conducted in 2010 and did not include several areas of the tribal belt and the Provincially Administered Tribal Areas.
