In a shocking incident, a man allegedly shot a shopkeeper dead for demanding payment of dues in Mehrabadi area.
Police said Mumtaz Haider ran a general store in the locality, and Shahid Imran’s wife owed him Rs2,500.
Shopkeeper killed in Shabqadar Bazaar
When the family planned to relocate, they left an iron with the shopkeeper as a surety.
On Sunday, Imran came to the shop and demanded the iron but the shopkeeper refused until they cleared the dues.
Imran went back to his house and at about 3:30pm allegedly returned with a pistol and fired on Haider and his brother Irshad Haider.
Haji Sanaullah, a passerby, was also injured, when Imran fired indiscriminately, while trying to escape.
All three were taken to the PIMS where Haider died of his injuries.
Police said the other two victims were out of danger.
In separate incidents, Javaid Sadiq was shot dead by Sohail alias Billa, in connivance with Aftab and Hasnain outside a paan shop at Committee Chowk on Sunday morning.

Furthermore, Muhammad Nasir was shot dead by Gulzar Khan in Bangash Colony in the limits of Pirwadhai Police Station on Saturday night.
Meanwhile, a man allegedly stabbed his friend to death over a petty dispute in Bhabra area in the limits of Wah Cantonment Police Station on early Sunday.
