Tor Ghar: Kala Dhaka becomes 25th K-P district
Kala Dhaka in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa officially declared the province’s 25th district and renamed Tor Ghar.

Kala Dhaka in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa was officially declared the province’s 25th district and renamed Tor Ghar on Thursday.
At a ceremony at Aiwan-e-Sadr, President Asif Ali Zardari signed the documents in the presence of Chief Minister Amir Haider Khan Hoti, Governor Awais Ghani, National Assembly Deputy Speaker Faisal Karim Kundi, federal ministers and tribal elders.
Tor Ghar will now be considered part of the settled area of the province. Its population is about 0.5 million and it is located near Battagram and Mansehra.
Under Article 246 of the Constitution, the president has the power to change the status of any tribal area.
