For the record: PBR motivates youth to set new standards

Aim is to promote healthy activities in Pakistan

PESHAWAR: In order to push the youth, the Pakistan Book of Record has provided a platform for them to come up with creative ideas and display their talent in front of the camera.

PBR organised an event at Peshawar Press Club on Saturday in which officials distributed shields and awards among those who set records in different fields. On the occasion, Samar Khan and Gulifshan Tariq etched their names in PBR as they became the first women to ride a distance of 4,693 meters on a bicycle in nine days. The journey took them from Islamabad to Khunjerab at the Pak-China Boarder.

Similarly, Rehmat Aziz Chitrali created a national and world record by inventing a unique linguistic software namely KHOWAR which can be used to type as many as 40 languages of Pakistan.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Arif developed 530 desktop applications of different fields. This is the highest number of software applications developed by any individual. Arif is a renowned software developer of Peshawar.

While speaking to The Express Tribune, he said, “Since childhood, I was very fond of software and used to think technically. Now, I have developed software for every field such as tailoring, medical stores, school management and others.”

PBR founder and Chairman Ahmad Hussain congratulated all record holders and shared that this idea has been conceptualised from the Guinness Book of World Records. Guinness is a worldwide organisation to register world records in all fields, while PBR is a national institute in search of such amazing feats.
