This was shared by North Sector Commander Brigadier Ziaul Islam while addressing the 21st passing-out parade of MR in Ghallanai, Mohmand Agency on Friday.
At least 418 Frontier Corps recruits graduated after receiving training at the MR headquarters.
Addressing the participants, Islam said the army was filling the vacuum left by military operations in the region and will eliminate militancy from Fata soon.
He said the government had awarded two Sitara-e-Basalat awards and 13 other awards to FC personnel for their work and sacrifices.
According to Islam, new recruits should follow in the footsteps of their predecessors and play their part in handling the situation in both war and peace.
Islam also praised the recruits’ love for their nation and said, “This patriotism is your award.” The sector commander examined the parade and distributed trophies among those who performed best.
The officials visited Yadgar-e-Shuhada and paid tribute to those who embraced martyrdom while fighting against terrorism and militancy in Mohmand Agency.
Apart from Mohmand Rifles Sector Commander Commandant Hafiz Asif Iqbal, Mohmand Political Agent Mehmood Aslam Wazir and other senior military and civilian officials were also present on the occasion.
Mohmand Rifles are among few scouts who are deployed on the Pak-Afghan border of Fata and have played a vital role, along with the political administration, in maintaining peace in the tribal areas.
